Research Policy

The International Journal of Islamic Economics and Governance (IJIEG) operates in accordance with the standards set forth by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, and is committed to maintaining academic integrity, transparency, and high publication standards.

IJIEG ensures clearly defined aims and scope, transparent editorial processes, and adherence to a double-blind peer review system with at least two independent reviewer reports per article. All submissions undergo similarity screening (e.g., Turnitin) in line with HEC anti-plagiarism standards. As a general benchmark, manuscripts exceeding a 19% similarity index may be subject to rejection or conditional editorial handling, with stricter limits applied to findings and conclusion sections.

The journal maintains documented peer review records, similarity reports, and editorial documentation as required for monitoring and quality assurance. Publication decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope. IJIEG remains committed to upholding HEC policies, strengthening editorial standards, and aligning its practices with recognized national and international best practices in research publication.
