Open Access and Copyright Policy

1. Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Islamic Economics and Governance (IJIEG) is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription, embargo period, registration, or login requirements. Readers may access, read, and download the full text without any financial or technical barriers.

2. Open Access Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0)

All articles published in IJIEG are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0).

This licence permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given and licence terms are followed.

Key Terms:

  • Attribution (BY): Users must provide appropriate credit to the author(s) and IJIEG, include a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made.

  • NonCommercial (NC): The work may not be used for commercial purposes without additional permission from the copyright holder(s).

3. Copyright and Publishing Rights

Authors retain copyright of their published articles.

By submitting and publishing in IJIEG, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and identify itself as the original publisher of the work in all formats and platforms used by the journal.

4. Third-Party Content

If an article contains third-party materials, such as figures, tables, images, or datasets not covered under the article’s Creative Commons licence, this will be clearly indicated within the article. Reuse of such material may require permission from the respective rights holder.

5. Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit

IJIEG permits and encourages authors to deposit their work in personal websites and institutional or subject repositories:

  • Preprint (submitted version): May be shared at any time

  • Accepted manuscript (postprint): May be shared at any time

  • Published Version of Record (final PDF/HTML): May be shared at any time

When sharing, authors should include the full citation and provide a link to the official article on the journal website, including the DOI where available.

6. Author Fees

IJIEG charges:

  • No submission fee

  • No article processing charges (APCs)

  • No publication fee

7. Display of Licence Information

Licensing and copyright information is displayed on each article’s landing page, including the applicable Creative Commons licence and the copyright holder.
