Open Access and Copyright Policy

OPEN ACCESS AND COPYRIGHT POLICY (IJIEG)

International Journal of Islamic Economics and Governance (IJIEG) is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are available online immediately upon publication, free of charge, with no embargo period and no registration or login required to read or download the full text.

1) Open Access licence (CC BY-NC 4.0)

All articles published in IJIEG are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC 4.0).

This licence permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given and the licence terms are followed.

Key terms

  • BY (Attribution): You must give appropriate credit to the author(s) and IJIEG, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made.
  • NC (NonCommercial): You may not use the work for commercial purposes without additional permission from the copyright holder(s).

2) Copyright and publishing rights

Authors retain copyright of their articles.

By submitting and publishing in IJIEG, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish the work and to identify itself as the original publisher (including distribution in all formats and platforms used by the journal).

3) Third-party content

If an article includes third-party material (for example, figures, tables, images, or datasets) that is not covered by the article’s Creative Commons licence, this will be clearly indicated in the article, and reuse may require permission from the respective rights holder.

4) Self-archiving and repository deposit

IJIEG allows and encourages authors to deposit their work in personal websites and institutional or subject repositories:

  • Preprint (submitted version): may be shared at any time
  • Accepted manuscript (postprint): may be shared at any time
  • Published Version of Record (final PDF/HTML): may be shared at any time

When sharing, authors should include the full citation and a link to the article on the journal website (including the DOI, where available).

5) Author fees

IJIEG charges:

  • No submission fee
  • No article processing charges (APCs)
  • No publication fee

6) Display of licence information

Licensing and copyright information is displayed on:

  • each article’s landing page, and
  • within the article full text (PDF/HTML).
