Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the form available at our website Submissions | Journal of Biomolecular Sciences

  • Articles shall be in MS Word (2013 or higher) duly formatted according to the guidelines and publication policy of the IJIEG.
  • Only Electronic submission (Soft Form) of manuscripts is accepted, and the corresponding text, tables, and figures shall be drafted in a single Microsoft Word file
  • Manuscripts shall be submitted through our online forum at Submissions | Journal of Biomolecular Sciences
  • The Contributor has to register him/herself before submitting the Manuscript.
  • In the event that a journal's editors are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct relating to a published article in their journal, the publisher or editor shall follow COPE's guidelines (or equivalent) in dealing with allegations.
  1. Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Biomolecular Sciences (JBS) undergo a rigorous review

process to ensure the highest quality of published content:

  • Initial Assessment: Upon submission, each manuscript is subjected to an initial assessment to ensure that it aligns with the aims and scope of JBS. Manuscripts not meeting the journal's specifications may be delayed or discarded.
  • Theoretical and Technical Evaluation: Submitted manuscripts are thoroughly evaluated for their theoretical and technical contributions to the field of life sciences. The review process aims to assess both the innovation and research value on one hand and the practical application and impact on the other.
  • Significance of Results: Authors are encouraged to present results that have a significant effect in the field. Manuscripts should motivate and inform readers about the implications of the study's findings.
  • Review Articles: Review articles should not only synthesize existing literature but also make a substantial original contribution, such as introducing new concepts, frameworks, methodologies, or critical research questions.
  • Data Sharing: JBS encourages authors to share their data and supporting materials by archiving them in publicly accessible repositories. If data sharing is not feasible, authors must promptly inform the Editor through a cover letter.
  1. Instructions for Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to JBS are expected to adhere to the following instructions:

  • Manuscript Preparation: Carefully read and follow the guidelines and instructions for manuscript preparation provided by JBS. These guidelines encompass formatting, citations, references, and other critical elements. Failure to meet these specifications may lead to delays or manuscript rejection.
  • Manuscript Length: Manuscripts should ideally range between 8000 and 10,000 words, including footnotes, references, and text within tables. Authors are encouraged to place less critical or highly technical information in appendices, which can be made available online as 'Supplementary Material' upon acceptance. Manuscripts significantly exceeding 10,000 words may be requested to be shortened.
  • Discussion Papers and Responses: JBS editors may commission authors to write Discussion Papers on important and contentious topics in the field. In such cases, multiple authors may be invited to write short Responses to these papers.
  1. Plagiarism Policy

JBS will follow the plagiarism policy of HEC.
