One of his dimensions is the Poetic translation from Western Litrature. His some translations of verses are more significant. "Leaves of Grass" (Slected Poems) by Walt Whitman is one of these. He was a leading American poet. Qayyum Nazar endeavoured to create balance between literal and creative translation. How far he has been successful in his efforts needs to be studied and analysed. This is the main subject of this research paper.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Zoraiz https://ojs.mul.edu.pk/index.php/zoraiz/article/view/523 ترمیماتِ ’’رموزِ بے خودی‘‘ 2024-09-25T11:06:29+00:00 Dr. Baseera Ambreen baseeraambreen@gmail.com
In the presented paper the original manuscript and 1st edition of Iqbal’s well-known poetry Collection Ramoz-e-Bekhudi is compared with the last edition published during Iqbal’s lifetime. So that modifications and reforms can be marked. In Ramoz-e-Bekhudi, forms of changes were visible not only in the original manuscript but also appeared in the three publications in Iqbal’s life. They have been corrected, edited, and modified. Through this practice, Iqbal’s poetic and artistic exercise has been estimated. From this fact, it is evident that how much he was aware of the complexibilities of the poetic process and how much he strived to achieve meaningfulness.
2024-09-25T11:10:24+00:00 Dr. Azeem Ullah Jandran azeemullah@gmail.com Dr. Muhammad Arshad Awaisi awaisi@gmail.com
This research paper is an overview of the saints and Sufi scholars’ contribution for the growth of Urdu language and literature. These saints and Sufi scholars’ writings consisted of their sayings, pieces of advice and verdicts in the form of prose and poetry. They wrote in very heart-touching style. There writings were universal in nature. They were not restricted to some particular race, colour or creed. Islam emanated through the medium of Urdu language in the sub-continent. The Sufis, aulia, ulemas and the Sayyeds also played role for the dissemination of Islam through the vehicle of this Urdu language. These Sufis were the ambassadors of the muslim society and Urdu was their vehicle. They introduced their Islamic teachings through local dialects and regional languages, too. Urdu language was generous enough to absorb the words and phrases of Persian, Arabic, Punjabi, Hindi and Saraiki as well. The gathering points of the Sufis and Saints became the development and growth points of Urdu language and literature.
2024-09-23T10:52:21+00:00 Dr. Azmat Rubab azmatrubab@gmail.com
An interesting study in Urdu literature is also to determine the priority of creators of different genres. That is, who is the first chronicler of Urdu Literature, the first poet, the first fiction writer, the first novelist, the first critic? Sometimes the years and even the dates are so close in them that during arguments, Researchers, Critics and Historians resort to the history of creation, the history of publication, comparative study to prove their point of view. For example, Masood Saad Salman and after him Wali is said to be the first poet. But when Dr. Syed Mohi-ud-Din Qadri Zor compiled Kulliyat e Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, then Muhammad Quli was declared as the First Urdu poet in chronological order.

In this background, when we turn to the history of Urdu literature to determine the first Sahib-e-Diwan poetess, we do not have to face any difficulty because as Dr. Ahmad Ali Shakeel discovered and compiled Lutf un Nisa Imtiaz, published in 2004 from Hyderabad Deccan. Shafqat Rizvi had previously compiled Dewan e Mah Laqa Bai Chanda which was published in 1990 by Majlis-e-Taraqqi-e- Adab Lahore.

Kulliyat e Imtiaz was prepared in 1212 AD as Deewan e Chanda in 1213 AD. Both Poetesses belong to Deccan; their language is not familiar for today’s literature reader. So realizing this point, in this research paper analysis of Killiyat e Imtiaz is presented.
The poetic tradition of praising the Prophet Muhammadﷺ has been a central element of Arabic literary and religious culture, extending from pre-Islamic times to the present day. This tradition has significantly influenced literary expressions, with poets throughout history highlighting various aspects of the Prophet's life and virtues. Faisalabad, in particular, boasts a notable heritage of poets dedicated to this tradition, including Muhammad Tahir Siddiqui, who is renowned for his contributions to Urdu naat poetry. Siddiqui's work encompasses a range of devotional themes related to the Prophetﷺ and Islamic faith. His notable collections, such as "Beiyaz-e-Naat," showcase a synthesis of traditional poetic forms and spiritual content. His poetry reflects deep reverence and love for the Prophetﷺ, often aligning with Quranic teachings and Hadith. Siddiqui's compositions vividly portray miraculous events in the Prophet’s life, including the splitting of the moon and the Night Journey (Isra and Mi'raj), capturing these events with lyrical elegance. Siddiqui's engagement with these themes underscores his prominence in modern devotional literature, illustrating his significant role in continuing the legacy of praising the Prophetﷺ through poetry.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Zoraiz https://ojs.mul.edu.pk/index.php/zoraiz/article/view/526 بہاول پور میں اردو نعتؐ گوئی 2024-09-25T11:11:54+00:00 Muhammad Hafeez mhafeez@gmail.com Waqar Najeeb wnajeeb@gmail.com
In the history of mankind, there has not been a single person who has achieved more virtue and dignity than Muhammad (peace be upon him).
