The greatest dream of life of most of the characters in Ismat Chugtai is to find a home. Most of her characters cannot find a home for themselves. Those who can find, they have to face many dark sides of the house. As a progressive short story writer, she creates a passion for making her home within her feminine characters. Overall, according to Ismat Chughtai’s narrator, human characters are responsible for creating or destroying a home environment.
