Abstract

Like every nation we have many cultural and civilizational traditions which result in our unique identity. Fine arts of every region are the reflection of civilization and culture of its inhabitants. Wherever the Muslims went, they impacted the lifestyle and fine arts of that region. These impacts are particularly manifested in the Oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Holy Prophet (PBUH) which make Muslims distinct and unique from other nations. As far as poetry is concerned, its different forms particularly religious forms are full of the above-mentioned aspects. The study of Urdu Naat in relation to civilizational traditions carries great significance. In the present era, it is even more needed because the attacks of non-Islamic civilization can only be stopped in this way.  This article highlights the same aspects and in this, the study of Urdu Naat is also made in the same perspective.
